1. What is a lace front wig?
Lace front wigs give the illusion that the hair is growing directly from the scalp therefore making it look so natural A lace material is used at the base where each unit of hair are hand tied meticulously onto.

2. What are the custom wigs used for?
A lace front wig or top piece is used by women who want to improve on the growth of their natural hair while others use lace front wigs and top pieces due to medical conditions.

3. What is the difference between full lace wigs and other wigs?
Full lace wig allows you to wear your hair in up dos, ponytails, and that expose a person nape area while normal wig does not allow for this option. Also lace wigs are lighter and more comfortable than traditional wig.

4. I have a head full of hair - Can I still wear a lace front wig?
Yes, all you have to do is tightly pull back hair and place a wig cap on to secure all loose hair ends. Also choose the section for clips to be inserted as this will allow a more secure fit to your cap.

5. What kind of hair is lace front wig made off?
At Chiquel we offer a wide selection of 100% human hair ranging from Indian remy hair to the elite Brazilian hair. All hair is given from a single donor. The cuticles are aligned in the same direction. If the cuticle is misaligned the hair becomes rough which result in excessive matting and tangling

6. Can anyone apply and maintain lace front wig alone?
You do not need to be very skillful to apply and maintain your lace front. We provide starter kits and an online step by step guide to help aid in the application and maintenance of your new lace wig.

7. How long will it take to make my custom full lace or lace front wig?
Since the hair is individually hand tied strand by strand, it will take approximately 5-7 weeks for delivery. Priority shipment is available for 3 week delivery.

8. Do you have lace front in different textures and colour?
Yes. You can obtain lace front wig in different textures and colours. The choice is up to you.

How do I know what length to buy?
The length of the lace front is measured from the crown to the hair tip. Therefore you can measure your head from the crown to where you want the hair to reach and if the lace front is too long, we offer cutting services. Please contact Chiquel to book an appointment.

9. What is lifespan of my wig?
It depends of how you use and care for them. It can last up to a year if properly handled.

10. Can I exercise, swim or play with lace front wigs?
Yes. As long as you have applied it with an adhesive that works with your body chemistry and can withstand the activities you part take.

11. Can the wavy and curly textures be straightened or curled?
If you order a unit and select wavy or curly texture - that is a processed texture that is put into the hair with a perm for the wave or curl.  You should apply heat products sparingly as it may over process the hair since it has a permanent perm already put into the hair.

12. Can the silky straight texture be straightened or curled?
Yes. Since the hair is natural it can withstand household styling tools such as curling irons and straightners. You can even wash, set and style just like your natural hair. Take note that the hair could be damaged with product overuse.

13. Do I have to wear makeup to hide the lace?
No, the lace should be cut back to your hairline and attached to your scalp with either liquid or tape adhesive.  If you do this and the lace is the right shade, it will be undetectable.

14. Lace front wigs for children?
Many kids suffer from hair loss due to cancer treatments, alopecia, and other medical conditions.  All kids are beautiful no matter what - with or without hair. However, not all kids may be comfortable with their hair loss. Lace front wigs are an excellent solution to providing your child with a natural looking wig where no one will know it’s a wig. So for those children that long to have beautiful hair once again, this is now possible. 
Note: Adults are required to aid in the application and removal of the wig. Light density is recommended for children wigs.

15. How do I Measure my Head?
We provide a step by step detailed instruction that shows you exactly how to measure your head. You do not need to have a professional to measure. What else will I need to order with the wig? You will, at least, need to order your adhesives and removers to apply and remove your wig. However, most customers order the Lace front wig starter kits, which includes all the necessities for your new hair piece.

Custom refund wig policy
Due to the specialty of the item, all sales are final on ALL custom lace/ top piece wigs. We do not accept delivery of returned products.

Please take your measurements and other options very carefully. We will make your custom wig according to your exact specifications. We are not responsible for wrong measurements taken or variances in colour caused by monitor settings.

Cancellation
For any shipments returned to us due to a bad address, refusal upon delivery, or cancellation after 24 hours of placing order; there will be an 85% cancellation fee charged due to specialty of the item(s). Shipping and handling charges are non refundable.

Shipment
We are not responsible for late shipments due to holidays, natural disasters, or carrier delays. Please keep in mind holidays do not count as a business day and should be considered when calculating shipping times. If you need additional information, please email orderstatus@chiquel.com.au.

Wig repairing services
We offer repair services on any wigs that we have designed.  The cost of the repair varies depending on type of repair that is required. Starting cost is $85.00, plus the shipping cost of $45.00, which also includes insurance. Most problems can be repaired on the unit. Including rips, tears, hair loss, etc.

Repair Services Include:
   – Mending Rips and Tears (Extensive rips or tears may not be able to be fixed)
   – Replacing Hair Loss
